Glengarry Broadsword (Clann a' Claidheimh) is a fencing school and club serving beginner through to intermediate fencers from ages 6 to Adult in a range of historical fencing programs. Glengarry Broadsword is a social enterprise, heavily subsidizing the participation of children, youth and families, and investing in the range of training equipment in order that fencers are able to participate with minimal investment. Our primary fencing disciplines are Small Sword, Single Stick and Highland Broadsword, though training seminars are run frequently on other fencing disciplines, and frequently with guest instructors. These include sport fencing instructors, and the fundamental skills learned through our club would enable fencers to progress to sport fencing disciplines should they choose to.

Beginner Fencers are welcome at any time, but would be best served to join our beginner programs in the Winter Session (January to March) to Spring Session (April to June) and Fall Session (September to December).

 

The next Winter Session for new fencers begins January 16th 2025.

New and Intermediate fencers have a unique and exciting opportunity to participate in the New Years Fencing Camp taking place evenings January 1st to 4th. Please watch for details and registration!
